Hello, guys.

Could you please help me out?

I'm trying to write "to be happy 'cause..."

For example:

"Sakura was happy because she got a present."

サクラちゃんは嬉しかったなぜなら彼女がプレゼントを得た。

I think it's totally wrong BUT it could be right though.

Thank you once more.

So the correct translation would be...?

Thank you.

Toritoribe emphasizes sounding natural all while having good grammar. His examples will reflect a desire to make you sound natural. :)

He said,
さくらはプレゼントを貰って嬉しかった。
Sakura wa purezento wo moratte ureshikatta.
Sakura received a present and was happy.

The past tense of the whole thing lies in the '~katta'.

Thank you. I couldn't understand the translation. I forgot about "and"...

Thank you all.
