Thank you very much. Could you send your application documents to my email. [email protected].Hey, I'm on my way to the airport right now, but I'll upload my proposal when I arrive.
Hey frna.
I too applied to the IGP at TITech for Oct 2012 admissions. My field of interest is Artificial Intelligence (Natural Language Processing) and Knowledge Based Systems. I'm currently doing my Bachelor's in Computer Sciences (final year).
I had my interview on 4th Jan. I think I did OK at the time, but later felt that I screwed up a little.
One of the panel professors told me that after the interview, the application will go back to the Admissions Office along with the assessments of all 5 professors. Everything else would be up to the AO, and the professors can do nothing about it. He also told me that the result would be communicated to all the candidates by the end of february or at the start of march.
PS: I read this thread just 2 days before my interview and found it useful. Thanks.
Hey, I'm on my way to the airport right now, but I'll upload my proposal when I arrive.
Not really. Just what you plan to do in the future, and why you want to work on the field.1 Field of study(専攻分野)
We need to explain about our previous / undergraduate study right? Maybe about our undergraduate thesis etc. Am I right?
Yes, this is what you plan to do in concrete details. You may mention your undergrad thesis if you want to, and the reasons why you want to pursue the topic. It's equivalent to SOP in maybe Europe or US university applications (but much shorted of course)2 Study program in Japan in detail and concreteness(研究計画:詳細かつ具体に記入すること。)
What do we write in this field? Is it about our research proposal (the same as one we send to our-intended-Titech-professor)?
Ask again >.<
Proposed study program in Japan (State the outline of your major field of study on this side and the details of your study program on the backside of this sheet in concreteness.)
1. So if I didn't attach additional sheet, for this form there is just one piece of paper, right?
2. What about the other documents (summary of thesis, etc) that are more than one page, do I print it on the backside or in different sheets? ThanksAnd sorry before, because I don't want to make such a technical mistakes
I hope this questions could also be some helps for the others..
Not yet hehehehe. I did send my intended proffesor, but he has not replied yet. But in my opinion, you could just send your CV, transcript, and research proposal for the first time contacting them. At least, I did thatlittle flower did you get the consent of your professor you're applying to? do we have to send the application form the first time we start our correspondence with the professor?
thanks
I printed it out on several sheets. Mine was like 8 pages long or so.
Me, too. Heheheh. Thepie, The first prof I contact did not reply my email after +/- 2 weeks, so I contact the other prof. Now it has been 2 days after that and he has not replied my email too. What should I do if there are no profs that reply my email? And I could not contact the other profs because I also have to choose the profs that have similar research area with me right?Wow... Mine was 1 page only, including the citations...
Resend the email after a week of no responding asking them if they received your email.
