Time out annoyance

Many times, after loging in, I make a reply to a post and hit the preview I am taken back to the log in screen, after loging in a second time the post that I typed has disappeared. I have tried going back, but to no avail the post is gone.

Now I have to copy&paste what I have typed. Can you explain to me why that happens? Does it happen to anyone else?

It is rather annoying, because after the first couple of times it happened I lost some rather detailed replies that I had typed, which took a bit of time to type as well. I would like for it not to occur any more. Any ideas or suggestions?

Preview more often, or open another window and refresh it often. There are more strategies, I think, but I don't remember them right now. You should be able to find related threads by searching.

Oh and btw did you know that the links in your signature, about learning Janpanese on your own don't connect to anything?

Hachiro, are you clicking 'remember me' when you sign in? If you click it you do have to remember to logout manually when you are done, but at least you don't get thrown out automatically.

That is probably your problem Hachiro. But Glenn is right too. If you use firefox just open another tab...but if you use IE, just right click on a post and choose to open in a new window.

No kidding? I'll have to check into that. That seems to happen sometimes with that site. I'm not sure why.... Thanks for letting me know.
