For me isn't that rare that japanese bands use swastikas and stuff, since Japan was part of the Axis with Germany and Italy, you can see nazi stuff on anime as well (Urusei Yatsura "Beautiful Dreamer" comes to mind). Also, nzi uniform look good in an aesthetic way, so yeah.
You have also communism references in Dir en grey now, that "MAD STALIN" thingy for example

Winter and Maciamo, thanks for a great argument. I was very surprised to find a argument that had some substance to it espically because this is the j-pop section
(hey go figure) But every one made some lovely points that actually made one think. Although I tend to lean towards Winters point of view. ^-^ As I read though the posts I was kind of surprised how much I find that I'm not bothered by any of this, I guess it just proved how much america's youth is immune to violence [and/or its feelings] thease days.

well I must say
that some of the vk indies aren't very careful with what they're doing...sometimes, as with DEADMAN, they use highly political speaces and Zieg heil and things because Mako wants to express his feelings and oppinions on a socitety that i going in a wrong direction, or things like that----while
Fatima makes sieg heil with 3000 and hitler speaches in the liveshow....because it's "hip", it makes a european fan feel very uncofortable....with my own granny in one of these concentration camps...
But Japanese youth, sees these people and history sections as ANY history....they're NOT really aware at all what it's about....they basically know nothing of this history other than Hitler was a famous leader and japan was on germany's side dureing the war...
my friend told me Sanaka of Fatima (vocal) dropped of school at age 16, so...he thiks it's cool....BUT to see the irony in it all...as he is being a rasist of his own kind by doing this....how aquard it is....well

yeah...
and I can't say I asked Sanaka what the hell he was thinking the past months^^; because they repeated the same thing again...
but it wasn't pleasant because most abroad fans became rather chocked....one went out and cried the entire show, and didn't return until the next band...
also, I personally LOVE deadman...but it's also a different thing if one knows what the band has said about their purposes....not a jumpy sexy little punky kid starting their show with a theme of Hitler and then makeing 3000 fans join in...just out of nowhere....just because it's FUNNY!!! yeeeey^_____^
however... I was dissappointed because....I WANTED to go back in and just wish it never had happened....because I'm supposed to like their attitudes^^,'
and I'll surely go see Fatima again and again and again...I like their extreme ways, as long as it's not in that direction...
their fans love them and they were probably not prepared to have any abroad fans in place at all, so they didn't expect anyone to care...and I bet if I'd mentioned to anyone....I'd get VERY upset fans against me saying that he wouldn't do anything mean out of purpose....so...^^,
