ITADAKIMASU is a very classic expression in Japanese. Everybody in Japan (even small children) uses it before a meal. Saying "Itadakimasu" at the table is just a must, taught in schools and at home. But what does it really mean? This expression actually means "I humbly receive (take, accept) this".
