There's a chance that I might be staying with a host family in Japan for a few weeks next year. I've heard that Japanese people tend to be cautious towards foreigners, particularly Westerners.
I have two questions:
Firstly, could anyone give me any tips on meeting people my age (16) in Japan and how to get along with them? Secondly, I'm also gay and I usually keep that to myself unless someone asks. I'm worried that if people there found out I am, they'd have no respect for me. Is gayness tolerated in Japan?
Thanks.
