Teach Yourself Japanese Script [textbook]

I picked up "Teach Yourself Japanese Script" by Helen Gilhooly from my library. Anybody else read this one? I found it pretty good, though it was written by a British person. The pronunciations of the words are very inaccurate, and I have only been learning for a few weeks now and I can tell. Overall though I have learned a lot. I have gotten through 4 lessons and have learned a bunch of 漢字 (kanji). I already know the kana so the inaccurate pronunciations and such were not a problem for me.

Yes, just be wary. I am not very experienced with Japanese (only 4 weeks into it) but I learned the kana a while ago, and the pronunciations in this book are off.
