Hello! I'm new here ^^ pleased to meet you all! If its not too troubling, could you guys help me translate a few sentences? I am making a basic nihongo essay about train posters that tell people to be considerate (i.e. sit proplerly, consider where you place your bags, keep the platforms clean, keep volume down as to not disturb others.). the problem is that i have a low japanese vocabulary in describing, and that i have a hard time with words because a lot of them are equivocal or have a lot of meanings with each context.

i know how to write hiragana and katakana already, but i have れい (zero) knowledge of kanji. If it is ok, can you guys help me translate these english lines to japanese, with just hiragana and katakana? When I saw the japanese posters(posuta), I became interested (omoshiroi) in its art (jutsu) and message (shimei). One poster has a child rabbit, another has a bear (kuma) with an umbrella (kasa). Another poster had an alligator (wani) and a rat (nezumi). the posters are cartoon-like (shitae / manga) and cute (kawaii). there is a poster that are like "pictures drawn by a child"(jidouga). there is also a poster that is realistic (shajitsuteki no posuta). another has a man holding a newspaper (shinbun). another that show scattered (gorogoro?) bags (kaban). lastly, there is a poster with a crying "soda can" that is funny(okashii) yet(demo?) sad (kanashii).

But, despite the cuteness and animal-like depictions, there is a serious message (shiriasu shimei ?). the moral (mukei) value (arigatami?) it tells us. the posters show how to be considerate in a train/train station. The japanese give importance to good manners and right conduct. These are the things(mono?) that us, university students (daigaku no gakusei) sometimes forget. Filipino people (Firipin-jin) should remember (meiki) our moral traditions (meiki no inshuu?).

the university students (daigaku no gakusei) should be considerate(omoiyaru) with each other. the japanese poster exhibit in the 2nd floor (nikai) of the university library (daigaku no toshokan) should be a reminder (bibou) for all (mina-san). To make Ateneo [name of our university] better (yuuri), cleaner (kirei), and happy (yukai) for all (mina-san).

the essay is for our "Japanese Culture appreciation week" for university students. It will be placed in our "shout out in japanese board". It will be for our "support japanese foreign language class" fund. So that more students would take up japanese as their foreign language requirement. I hope you guys can help.

Hiranagas in blankets show you how to read the kanjis.

And I checked your Japanese.
(1)だいがくのがくせい -> だいがくせい.
It's better and feel natural Japanese.
When we say like your way, we say "アテネオのがくせい".
(2)じゅはっさい -> じゅうはっさい
It has prolonged sound.
I think non-Japanese people often drop it because of roma-ji system.
(3)ども ありがとう ございます -> どうもありがとうございます。
It's the same as (2).
And you end "ありがとうございます。".
I think this is translated "Thank you in advance" into Japanese.
Generally, when we ask someting, we end "よろしくおねがいします".
When we get some response and we show "thanks",
we end "ありがとうございました".
