As with the other item, this vase also seems to be signed with 丹正 (Tansei). Unfortunately I can find no information on this potter.

Super, thanks Majestic. Love the name! I will see if I can do any searches on him but unfortunately during the early times Japan didnt seem to keep complete records of painters or potters unless they were famous.

I think the glaze is Tenmoku painted on the outside of the vase. Our Vase is white, black with brown around the edges which agrees with the term tenmoku. Assumption.
