Hi and thanks for checking my thread
.
I'm a student from The Netherlands planning on going to Japan for the summer holiday for about a month. I've been reading up on traveling trough Japan since i'll probably be backpacking.
But since I've read a travelWiki on Japan I'm not sure if i should still be going
So i was wondering if it's a bad plan to actually go this summer since I don't know how much fun I'll have in a "steambath"...
Hope i can get some tips here for my travel.

Source: wikitravel.org/en/JapanSummer starts with a dreary rainy season (known as tsuyu or baiu) in June and turns into a steambath in July-August, with extreme humidity and the temperature heading as high as 40ツ≫?ケC. Avoid, or head to northern Hokkaido or the mountains of Chubu and Tohoku to escape. The upside, though, is a slew of fireworks shows (hanabi taikai) and festivals big and small.
