I've been looking around the forum and haven't quite found some important information I would like regarding the general style of graduate studies in Japan.
I mean, I'm currently in my first year of MA's in my country in area studies, and do hope to get into a Japanese university for MAs.
How is the atmosphere for social sciences?
I have had the opportunity of doing an exchange in Japan back in my undergrad days and well, it was more fun than educational of course. And at that time my adviser in Japan even told me that I shouldn't pursue my master's in Japan.
Apart from loving the language/culture/technology in Japan, can you lovely people give some of your views on being in grad school doing social sciences in Japan?
