Statistics for non-natives studying Japanese

Hi JREF Crew!

I wanted to ask if anyone knows where I can find information pertaining to the number
of people (non-native) studying Japanese (latest stats).
In 2003, it was around 2.3M, and I wanted to know what the number would be nowadays.

If anyone has this info, please let me know!

According to "Survey Report on Japanese-Language Education Abroad 2006" conducted by The Japan Foundation, it was about 2.98 million in 2006.
