Stamps on a goodluck flag

I picked up a flag that has stamps on it. I would like to know their meaning. I have seen shrine stamps on flags and I believe that this flag has 4 two from one and two from another. Then there are a few repeating stamps that look military in nature with what looks like an anchor in a helmet. There are also three Kanji stamped in ink. I would appreciate any info so I know what I have. The flag seems to be constructed of cotton and the meatball is sewn in. Thanks for any help

The first and fourth seals are commemorative seals of sightseeing spots. The second looks like Chinese to me.

What written on the flag are records of battles in China as if the writer quoted them from a pay book of a soldier without knowing the meaning. The flag would be a fake, in my impression.

Is it 厳島 or 廣島. The castle in the stamp makes me think its 廣島.

Ah, yes. The first stamp is 廣島記念 commemoration of Hiroshima.

Thanks for the information. It really sucks that I bought a fake flag. At least the used an aged flag to cheat me out of my money as it seems quite old. Now I am stuck with it as I cant see trying to sell it and passing it on to someone else.

In my opinion, this kind of flag is the ONLY yosegaki hinomaru that is ethical to sell (so long as you aren't misrepresenting its origins).

Fake flags are part of the history behind that period as well. G.I.'s were faking objects in the field and I've heard rumors that there was a cottage industry post war in Japan faking these flags for occupation soldiers.
