Hello.

I'm planning to move to Japan in two-three years, I've been reading a lot about living there, how to get a job, what to know and what to do but however a lot of information is quite old and I still have questions, so hopefully someone here can answer to some of my questions.

1. Are there any big communities, web-sites, forums or anything for english speaking people living in Japan? Because from what I've read, having contacts is the most important thing next to knowing the language itself.

2. How hard is it to find a job in the IT area? Like, in customer support or software testing perhaps?

3. Are other English speaking foreigners generally friendly to each other?

4. Do you have any must-know tips or things you wish you had known before you went to Japan?

That's all for now!

This website ????

If you can speak Japanese it will help a lot. Check 外資系・グローバル企業の転職・求人サイト | [Daijob.com] , en http://headhunter.jp/en

Most of them, YES. you can get a lot of information from the foreigners whom are living in Japan. Try a gaijinpub and ask the foreigners over there.

Study a fair amount of Japanese!!! I found it very difficult to communicate with Japanese, especially in the beginning and that made me feel homesick so now and then.

For the rest, do enough research...
