Shrek 2

I saw "Shrek 2" this past Thursday, and it was great! The only downsides (after sitting in the theater with a bunch of kids) were that the ending and the moral were pretty much the same, but I saw that one coming anyway. There are some new characters, and some really good ones, too. Also, there is some really great humor; I laughed hysterically. I highly recommend everyone to see this movie; it nearly renewed my faith in Hollywood.

Glenn, you beat me to it. I was going to make a thread after we saw it this afternoon. It was great, but I still like the first one best. I had pretty much predicted the way it would be before I saw it, but nevertheless, it was very entertaining, and my kids didn't make a sound throughout the entire movie because they were completely awestruck(it was the very first time for them in the cinema).

One of my favorite parts was the 'pepper spray'... Along with so many others. Again, it was a really good film.

Yeah, that whole scene with the "pepper spray" and the "white bronco" was great. I think it may have been my favorite part of the movie, although I loved that little kitty. ;-)

I envy you all...I have to wait a while to see it. That's one bad thing about Japan...have to wait for new movies like that.

Man the pepperspray was great! i was tripping when they pulled out the bag of catnip from puss in boots.

Then shrek was looking at the little kitty talking about "Look at his little boots, really donkey, have you ever seen anyone fit in such little boots!"

A Friend Lent Me....

A 15 minute 3D DVD of Shrek. I was amazed how good the 3D effects are on my 19IN plasma. Things stood out a good foot from the screen. I kept reaching out to touch, the things looked so real! I have to try it on the TV to compare tonight.

Lol riven actually there's some subbed version in the tourist districts ^^

I liked it too. The most memorable character would be Puss in Boots. In terms of the graphics involved, I liked this one better. Frank was right, they seem so real. I was awestruck at the clothes and the hair fluttering in the wind. Most memorable exchange would be:

Puss: "...hairball!"
Donkey: "That is nasty"

One of the things that I also liked was its unpredictability and if I say more I'd be a spoiler .

True. I have to agree with you there. Even down to the freckles and eyelashes. The graphics were definitely amazing.

I thought that the long distance shots looked almost real, and the crowd shots were amazing as well. I couldn't get over how good this movie looked.
