Should I use honorifics?

Hello,

If I want to say I'm a big fan of a team or a sports person, do I have to use (certain) honorifics after their name? Can I say the following:
私は あまりスポーツを しません。でも、ラグビーとやきゅうが だいすきです。オールブラっクスといちろの だいファンです。

Also, I'm not sure if that is how you should write All Blacks in katakana.

Only if Ichiro happens to be standing in earshot when you say it.

Honorifics are sometimes added to things other than personal names. For example, in my work I sometimes have to visit the offices of other companies and sometimes have to call my boss while I am there. If I am calling and merely talking about the company from a place where no one from that company can hear me, I just say the company name. If in the presence of people from the company, I add "san" to the name. This has the added function of letting my boss know I'm standing right there with them and may be limited in what I can say. On a mild tangent, you can also use the company name plus an honorific to address a specific individual of a company when you don't know his name. People answer to all sorts of things here.

イチロー(usually written in katakana, plus not イチロ but イチロー)

There is no need to use any honorifics, unless you are talking to the athletes themselves (or their relatives, people in their inner group, etc).

Got it. Thanks very much for the help. Still haven't read the answers to the previous threads yet. Been a bit busy. Just had to ask a quick question before my beginner's japanese exam today which is in... 25 mins. Urgh.
