Hey all - I've been watching the forums for a while, but now I have a few questions of my own that I'm hoping someone can help me with. I'm in the process of moving back to the States, and I'm trying to pack the 200 manga that I bought here. When I took them to the post office to ship home the total was extremely high (the guy even said so, and the website I use to calculate the amounts that has never been wrong said it would be half as much as well).
So...I'm trying to find a cheap way to ship them home and I was wondering if anyone has ever shipped anything by M Bags. Does anyone know how big the bags are? The websites I've found says 30kg max, but it doesn't say how big the bag is.
I also want to send my futon home and I wasn't sure which method would be best. Most shipping companies require at least a 1cu. meter box, and my futon is definitely much smaller than that. Would takkyubin or post office be cheaper, or would it be cheaper to just take it on the plane with me and just pay the excess charges?
Also (sorry for so many questions...) has anyone used the airport takkyubin service? I live only an hour away from Narita, so I didn't think it would be too expensive, but none of my Japanese friends have used it so I wasn't sure how much it would be.
Thanks so much in advance for any help you could provide!!
