Interesting Twitter thread... my wife and I used to laugh about his follies. Shinjirō refers to Shinjirō Koizumi, the son of former PM Junichiro Koizumi. Long seen as the great white hope of the ruling LDP, he was axed for supporting Kono Taro in the latter's bid to become PM and mocked when - as Minister of the Environment - he pledged to make the climate fight "sexy" and "fun". Since then, he has become widely disliked and ridiculed for nonsensical statements with zero substance. And the source of many memes.

Sadly, he could never fill his father's boots.
