In Sweden, there is a popular buy & sell website called Blocket; I am trying to find it's equivalent in Japan. The classiefied one finds here and there are usually old or invalid ...
Yahoo Auctions ヤフオク! - 日本最大級のネットオークション・フリマアプリ is the number one sell/buy site in Japan. But I'm guessing you mean something more like craigslist: 東京 仕事、アパート、販売、サービス、コミュニティ、およびイベント but that isn't really popular with the locals and is full of scam-artists promising Fedex pick-ups for delivery in Western Africa!
You make a good point about the Classified section in this forum. I have a couple of ads posted there for items long ago sold, and I've specified they're SOLD in the ads but still I can't seem to find the box I check to delete the damn ad! I fear they'll still be there twenty years from now!
This leads me on to a shameless request for any links to forums for Japanese living and working in the United Kingdom. Japanese-language forums of course. I ask, simply because the UK beckons me home this summer for three weeks (first time back in Blighty since 2003 - do you think they'll understand my strange grammatically precise tongue?) and I've a mind to packing a couple of new Japanese-model DELL laptops in my luggage for sale in the UK - payment in Pounds Sterling. The Yen is firming against the Pound but it's still in joke-territory. And new top-of-the-line DELL notebooks here are about 150,000 yen cheaper than in the UK. Anyway, thought I'd ask.
Well, the last link you gave me was sort of what I meant ... though it seems to be quite small in comparison to the Yahoo auction thingie.
I will try my luck with those.
Good luck with your own search! Unfortunatly it is not somethig I can help ya with.
