Hello all, I am new to the group and wanted to reach out about genealogy/finding family. Here's a rundown of the facts that I know, or that I believe I 'know". Looking at the threads, it appears this may look like a repeat post, but please bear with me as my dad has been desperate to find his son. My father was stationed at the base that was located outside of Kin Village in 1967-'68 before going to Vietnam. He had a relationship with a woman named Sueko Yamatonsa (spelling likely wrong) who had the married surname of "Sato". With her previous marriage, she had a daughter named Yutaka Sato, likely born between 1962-63. It is believed that they lived in a village about 10-15 minutes from base in "Aza Terruma, Tona Selason" (based on what he says) I can only locate a Tarama Village, so I'm thinking it's that... He went to Vietnam and came back to the states (NY) after being wounded, never able to make contact with her anymore. My grandmother had received a letter a couple of years later from her telling him about their son, but she never relayed the message for ten years. I know this is fairly vague information, especially for females, but we don't even have a name for the son who would have been born in 1968-69. Our last name is Intini, incase that helps. If anyone knows how I can research, please advise.
