I just finished my IGCSE course and now I'm thinking of spending a semester or possibly my entire A-level course in Japan. I'm also looking to immerse myself in Japan whilst doing so. Does anyone know any good schools for an English speaking person that takes the Cambridge a level curriculum? Also, the school has to be a mixed boarding school or at least a school with some host families nearby. I'm considering staying after my 12th year too. Please contact me if you have any suggestions.

Make sure to clarify the visa situation too if you're doing this on your own rather than through some exchange program (which I don't think is the case, as your mentioned doing you entire A levels over there. I think there is pre-college student visa, but the school has to be willing to apply for it so make sure you ask them for it.

Also there are plenty of A levels school in most major cities in the world. I know there is British Intl. school in Tokyo but its horribly expensive.
