Hi Bob-Mo, only former customers could tell you whether they are reliable. They do seem to be a legitimate business, though: all the relevant info is listed, including phone, address, CEO and sales team. Their location checks out, too.

Yes, they seems to be good and providing good and fast replies.
But I can't find anybody who gave feedback... only on their website.
Regarding the address, I've checked and on google it shows like a private house, lost in the middle of nowhere.
I asked the contact and he told me that this was only a yard, and that the real address was 934, Kadoyama, Bando-Shi, Ibaraki, Japan 306-0617
I looked that adress too and there is no office or shop... it's only 70m from the other address...
I don't know... it looks a bit as a scam... can't figure it out
 
I fully understand your concerns. Japanese addresses are listed in blocks so they can be confusing, especially in the countryside. The number "934" is probably applied to all buildings in that block.
 
Pb is, it's not a block. It's a orivate house in the middle of a plot, in the countryside... look at google maps

Their Facebook page is impressive but I could find no comments from people on it? When I Googled the company , all comments seem to be from the company?
 
If I were Bob, I'd ask the company about that discrepancy. Based on Google Maps, it is evident that their car stock is not at the address indicated on the website.

Most of these companies sell on commission and likely don't even see the stock.
 
The above pics are a little time ago. But I have visited there recently and brought a vehicle from them. CEO is good to me. . .

Sanuki Corporation - I would like to warn against them. I paid deposit for a car which I found in Japan, but car was sold out by other company and Sanuki could not purchase it. They would not like to return deposit!!! They are scammer!!! They have lost Jumvea certificate for such cases in past time but unfortunately I have figured out about it too late.

Several days, weeks have passed and still no response from Sanuka's Management. The deposit has still not been returned and currently no response from Sanuka. Strange question on the part of management to provide data if all the details of my data they have, because they issued a proforma invoice and immediately a staff member contacted regarding the posted post. I hope that you will quickly check which employee contacted me and take appropriate consequences against him and my deposit will be returned to me.

Hello, do you you have the CEO's email address? They are currently defrauding my family.
 

This is exactly our situation, we're in Canada. They're not returning our payment (sent Feb 2024 and it's July 14) after a breach of contract (blah blah, no car, sorry, we fired the salesperson). Keep me posted on your progress. We're in the process of hiring a lawyer.
 
That's exactly the lie, word for word, that they told us.

I am pretty sure the location on Google Maps checks out. There even seems to be a car park.




However, the info on their huge sales team - all having generic English-sounding names - seems spurious.

Should they remain uncooperative and continue withholding deposits, we'll officially mark them as "Scammers."

Perhaps @sanukicorp could chime in and elucidate this matter.
 
They ARE scammers. My family has been struggling to get the money back since February! They do not answer the phone. The fact that the location is real does not prove anything. They have no phone number at all! Have you tried to dial any of the numbers? The names are fake, as you said. We don't know if they're even Japanese. Their "CEO" is not Japanese. Their website has no Japanese page, which is not a good sign according to this law firm: 東京パブリック法律事務所 外国人・多言語部門. Sanuki matches many of those characteristics!
 
Mark them as Scammers and once the refund hits my account we can change it back to Legit Business. This is a serious international criminal organization that is defrauding often elderly customers by exploiting their trust in the ethics of the Japanese people. I very much doubt that they are Japanese-born people. Look at the "CEO"

 
She is from Sri Lanka. Given the circumstances (and not her nationality!), I have marked this thread as "Scam."

I was impressed when they signed up at the forum to "clarify" things (this was a first), but it looks like their business comportment hasn't changed.
 
One possibility is that it's just a financial fraud organization. They harvest payments and then invest them. The Japanese Yen devaluation is horrendous, it's lost more than 10% of its value during the first half of 2024. So all that Sanuki needs to do is to keep your money in US dollars, lie to you that the yen has devalued and send you a smaller refund while keeping that 10-20% of the value. Not a bad scam if you're a demon!
