Okay, I looked for one but didn't see a thread at the time. I just won Samurai X: the motion picture on Ebay. I have never watched the series though I wish I had. I was wondering if it's any good and the movie too?

The movie's fine. If you're a Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X) fan. It deals with Kenshin's continued fight for peace in the post Tokugawa era. It also has the usual share of swordfights. Sorry for the sketchy details, don't want to spoil anything for ya. If you're a fan of samurai movies, there's no reason to hate this one.

rurouni kenshin is one of my fave
the tv series is great, and i recommend you to watch the OAVs too ^^

"TUIOKU-HEN" of OVA is very good.
(Since I am a Japanese, I understand only a title of Japan.)


Another animation. "Peacemaker KUROGANE" is recommendation.

Nice-ness! I heard that Samurai X and Rurouni Kenshin are really good. I can't wait till the movie comes to my house. Kenshin, Kenshin!

Well i loved it,, just the last OVA i just really didnt like... think lots of people can agree with me.. ( mmm i cry....)

I love Kenshin, saw the serie in 2 weeks time... LOVED IT!!!!!!

THe Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X OVA's are just amazing, the animation is very good. simple but just amazing. I loved them, I cried. But anyways, yeah, peace Maker Kurogane is a very good anime too. I hope they're making another season of it. I just loved it.

Nightwalker, at the risk of spoiling something, Gomen :sorry:. If you're a fan of feel-good endings, then you must stay away from Kenshin's OVA 2.

yah......its really sad....although i liked the OVA's...they made me want to cry ....but if you are a big fan of the series(wich is also amazing)than the OVA's really complete it.i deffinatly recomend watching the series as well though!

yeah, don't watch the 2nd OAV if you really love any happy ending
(but i recommend you to watch it, anyway ..)
well, if you like happier story, try the TV series ^^

Now I REALLY want to see this. If it makes me cry then it means its a really good anime. Bring it on! I'll have to buy it!
