waaait.. are you asking if yuri is better than yaoi? The poll is a little hard to get.. with only the yes and no answers... :?

YAOI is absolutely a lot better in soo many ways, I usually like the style of the drawings better in yaoi and off course the characters too! Besides, since I'm straight, I can have lovely day dreaming about the male characters... *dies from perverted thoughts*

...but yuri is still kawaii. 😍

Yuri...is...okay I guess. I don't mine Utena at all. That was the first yuri I saw but I really like the story line and the girl X girl I don't really notise. I still like yaoi better because I'm into guys not girls. XD

yaoi is better considering i find guys more attractive... i mean i dont wanna see two girls do it, if i like a girl i want her for me only

yaoi manga is sooo much better!!!!!-FAKE-is the best manga of all time......gravitation is also good.....(havnt seen any yuri so...)...ne ways....

oh..now to explain why lol.....yaoi is better because 1)i dont know any yuri to compare it with in the first place...2)the story's are great!!!!!

I believe that yuri and yaoi are at the same level of bestness, because It really depends on the show and the back story. Utena is an amazing yuri and Gravi was an amazing yaoi. There are many shows that I wish would have yuri and even yaoi in them, like Cardcaptor Sakura. It would be cool if Tomoyo finally gets Sakura and Tory and Julian. (sorry if it is miss spelled) But I really do wish that Tomoyo could get Sakura. I love reading fanfics of them. *blush* Lol

i like yuri better than yaoi (it doesn't mean that i don't like yaoi, i like yaoi but .. )
i dunno, but i think yuri is softer, gentler, and more beautiful (hardcore version is another story) ..
but i don't like cute girlXanother cute girl .. haruka and michiru from sailormoon is my fave ^^ ..

what about yuoi (normal minded)?

if i see something cute on the net, it gets into yuoi folder.
same sex kissing scenes are not too cute, to be honest, in my opinion.

probably yuoi means something different? you let me know.

Yuri is a little more safe to post on a website without getting massively flamed.

Also, I've seen some very disgusting yaoi floating around. Some that involve little boys (which reminds of Micheal Jackson and that is just sick and wrong)

have to communicate they keyword "unequal relationship". this is an additional qualifier, which preceeds yuri/yaoi. it occurs.

i mean, it is not right to pull down the tone of yuri/yaoi things by a "bad" "unequal relationship" story. it is an additional qualifier.

i have seen a movie on televison, do not remember the title, a guy and a pre-teen boy, having a relationship in open environment.

what happened: the guy ruled and suppressed the guy, because much stronger body. a girl from where he worked visited where t
hey used to live, and inspected the room with toys and "two-floor" bed.

it was a very depressing view. finally, it was not shown direct, they guy got destroyed at the workplace, the relationship too. not at least, because he ruled the boy too much.

there was no mean of being sexual explicit... and it was on at normal broadcast time, a very good idea. i learned a lot, but it does not make me a "yaoi" guy?

and, it was not including false inprisonment.

I don't really understand how the poll works, but I think yaoi is soo much better than yuri...yuri is okay, but in my opinion its nowhere near as hott as yaoi is...I think its just the thought of 2 hott guys is more exiting to me than that of 2 hott girls...I dunno, I'm really not good at explaining myself at times and this is one of them...lol ^^

Close relationships, yes. Sexual ones? Nah...

Tomoyo has the same kind affection that her mother had on Sakura's mother. It could be a Lesbian thing or just plain adoration or both. I never do know if Tomoyo ever had a father or not.

But my father seems to told me that most women seems to lesbian in some sort of way. So yes, it might be lesbianish.

As for Tory and Julian.

Haven't the slightest idea who they are.

Anything that is post the Japanese animated third Card Captor Sakura T.V. series and other than that (I read a few of the manga books though), I don't know.

As for other homosexual relationship in Card Captor Sakura.

XiaoLang and Yukito don't count, due... well... I ask you, is Yukito a boy or a girl? Is Kero a boy or a girl?

Touya and Yukito don't count either, due... well... the same reason. Touya is in love with Yukito though, just like what his ex-girlfriend / ex-teacher said, when she came back, he would be in love with another person. Touya though seems to be a hot target for supernatural beings (for example, "The Mirror" LIKES him), maybe it's due his supernatural power or just his personality and looks or maybe both?

And yes, Sakura and Yukito don't count also, again same reason. I don't know why she said to XiaoLang that they might be a little bit too young in comparison of Yukito.

Anyway. To be homosexual, you got to have a gender in the first place. Keroberos and Yue don't have genders, neither does Sun Spinner and Moon Ruby.

The looks of XiaoLang and Moon Ruby (I forgot her or maybe his or maybe its school name) reminded me of Squall and Rinoa though, then again, manga and anime's character design is quite standar-ish.

Frankly, I'm really interested in homosexual relationship, at least the sexual kinds. Though I don't mind the close relationship with the same gender, just not into the sexual kinds.

The "Getbackers: Dakkanya" animated T.V. series do have some yaoi stuff in it, Ban and Ginji acted more like a gay couple than close friends, especially with Ginji kept calling "Ban-chan". And of course, lets not forget Ginji's group of fanboys, especially his prettiest fanboy who has a group of fanboys of his own.

Of course at the end, Ginji lean on Ban's shoulder and Ban hugged him, and there they go, on to another adventure, always staying close with each other.

I much favoured Ban and Ginji relationship though, other than for example, Haruka and Michiru in Sailor Moon Super.

As for homosexual relationship in real life.

Well... Assuming we ruled out the violent ones.

Then I think that gays might have a calmer relationship than lesbians, lesbians might have quite a 'louder' relationship and might be limited only to just two girls per relationship in comparison of gays, though it might calmer a little bit if one or some of the girls have a bit more dominant masculine side on her or their personalities (every person had a masculine side and a feminine side, Yin and Yang).

So... Yes, I think that Yaoi stuff is much better.,

I would say that yaoi is better because it's really not as popular as yuri. But I will admit, I am a fan of Revolutionary Girl Utena. Which is famous for it's yuri relationship with Utena and Anthy. It's really sweet. 👍

'd like to have option for "both are good" or "neither are good".

I would say both are good, although I watch more yaoi. I suppose, there is much diversity in yaoi, or I wasn't able to find until recently grown-up yuri mangas. In yaoi there are Kizuna, Ai no Kusabi, for ex. From yuri I know only "between the sheets".

Yuri seeing as I am homophobic about gay males. (Im not putting them down, and i dont hate any one, its just how i feel.)

i feel the same

hmmm....

ok, are you talking about the hentai or shonen/shojo-ai?
shonen/shojo-ai? is deffinatly better for reading value, (cos it actually has a story), but i still find with shojo-ai... if it's draw/written by a guy... they over exagerate... and... sometimes it gets anoying. having said that, there are some really great shojo-ai staries out there.
being as obsessed with maki murakami as i am, i vote no, cos... yeah, shnen-ai would happen to be my favre manga (ie, gravitation).

with the hentai (not that i read the stuff... but being a mangaka enfusiast, you come across this stuff), yuri is most deffinatly better. yeah, you get some really crap stuff... and stuff is waaaay outta proportion, but in general, it's draw better.

Both have their good points and their bad points. It's all about tastes really, not sexual orientation. Both genres can be enjoyable to read or watch as long as it's done in a tasteful manner.

Doc:ramen:😄

Well to tell the truth I like both Yuri and Yaoi because well the stories are the same as any strait couple anime, and its something different. Not to mention its really cute. 😌
