Role of military-trained Koreans in former occupied territories of Japanese Empire

This is a different approach regarding Japanese Imperial Army ( JIA ) in Asia mainland & South Pacific.I am searching for reliable online archived history files or books or articles written ( in both Japanese & English ) about Koreans' participation ~ total or approximate number of how many served in the JIA and highest military ranking that anyone of them achieved up to the end of WW II.
