I just gave all 4 of my Metallica CDs to a friend
because her friend likes this kind of music
and I will give her the Metallica guitar method video tape too..

Haha, this is actually quite an interesting one. When does music get old. People always say current music sucks compared to, say, ten years ago. But in ten years time, we will say the same about music of that era. Is it just nostalgia or does the quality of the music really matter?

Well, I don't know what anyone else thinks on this topic, but I've always been of the opinion that we're influenced heavily by the music we listened to while growing up. For me, listening to those groups when I was a kid (back then, that also included The Monkees, please hold that against me) and later a young adult (Disco, ABBA, Billy Joel) left the most lasting impression on me and remains the kind of music I like most and listen to most. I've tried to give the music of today and last few years the same sort of consideration but I can't because I like the old stuff better. And you're right, twisted, what might be thought of as junk today may well be gold ten years from now.

hmmmmm not a very big fan of rock, but i like that song blurry from puddle of mud and some other ones from various artists
