The Terminator, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible 2, Back To The Future...this movie has it all!! It was still pretty cool, though. And besides, it had a cool guy in a long black coat. I had to watch it ^.^

Transforming aeroplanes, does it for me every time. Seriously though I quite liked The Returner, some interesting characters and a half decent plot.

I thought it sucked mega-ultra-hard ^_^ They wasted alot of money on that movie. It had nothing interesting to offer.

Yeah, I felt the same. Just as good as a lot of other flicks and better then a whole lot more. I liked it enough to but it on dvd if I ever come across it.

I dunno if I'd ever buy it. It was just one of those movies you watch to say you watched it.

And as for the story...can anyone say The Terminator? Going back in time to change an apocalyptic future. Then there was the one shot of the lonely desert highway...also a Terminator rip-off. Let's see...then there was the whole bracelet thing that allowed you to move faster, which would have been cool, but when they actually slow stuff down and show the ripple affects of bullets, it's all too obvious where it came from (The Matrix). Uumm...oh, and the shot where the guy slams on the brakes of the motorcycle and spins around to shoot the car...that would be the EXACT same movement Ethan Hunt made in Mision: Impossible 2. They even replayed the shot a few times, just like M:I2. And finally, though it's more of a theory, the only other place I've seen the whole "seeing yourself affects the space-time continuim" was Back To The Future.

It was like they took parts from some of the most groundbreaking American action movies, and threw them together. And then top it off with a Lenny Kravitz song. ^.^

There are many tv shows and movies with the same theme. Your right, but i think your being kinda harsh.

Lot's of other movies have this too. One movie is "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," "Time Cop," "The time Machine," and many more...just don't want to name them all. I'm suprised you failed to mention that the movie reflects "ET" a lil too.

I've seen the movie twice and to me it was mediocre. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. It stars the ever so great "Takeshi Kaneshiro" he's that guy in the leather trench coat. Lot's of movies barrow themes/ideas from other movies. Most of the time movies barrow it from books.

I hadn't meant to be harsh. Like I said in my first post, I liked the movie. I was just pointing out obvious parts that were taken from other movies. It's one thing to pay homage to a movie, or make reference in a stylish way that makes people say "Ah! The Terminator!", but they were just a little too blatent this time around.

Yeah, it wasn't a great or original movie, buuuuuuut I liked it enough. As an alternative to the increasingly bad "reality" television that is becoming more predominate on American tv, I'd rather watch this. BUt then I could be wrong ;)

Actually I fell into sleep in the middle of the movie, but my friends who watched it with me said it was good.

I bought it the day it came out, and love it. It's not a be-all-end-all thing, just fun and that's what I wanted from it.

I loved this movie, bought it when it was available in the US. But I have to ask this... Why is it in EVERY Japanese when 'native English speakers' are used, they have the caliber of acting seen in the first Resident Evil game? God, how I cringe when I hear those actors speak! Haha.

This was a fun movie.
