Hi,

I found this website accidentally when searching for short-stay accommodation in Tokyo and grew interested in this forum.

Here goes nothing:
I'm a 19-year old, born in Germany with Afghan heritage, lived in Germany for the first 13 years of my life, lived 2 years in Teheran, Iran, then 4 years in Sydney, Australia, since May 2008 until end of October 2008 lived in Germany again and 2 months ago I moved to Jumeirah, Dubai, where I currently reside.

EDIT: Oh yeah, if any of you were to ask me what Nationality I am, officially I am German, but I don't feel bound by any nation. You can probably tell, I'm not a patriotic guy. :)

(Have fun with that bit of information^^)

Absolved the International Baccalaureate at the German International School Sydney and at the moment work as commercial Prepress/Press/Postpress salesman (Agfa, KBA, Heidelberg, Wohlenberg, MBO, etc etc) for the Middle East region, but most specifically for Afghanistan.

My job requires me to travel a lot, my whole life my parents made me travel, so it kind of took over as my lifestyle. :)

I'm a very outgoing person, not very much online unless I check my E-Mails or research new projects.

Enjoyed Muay Thai for 4 years and, preceding that, Kung Fu for 3 years.

I'm generally a very curious person and personally am very interested in different cultures, especially the Japanese culture for its traditional values where a deep sense of respect, honor and discipline is embedded.

You could say that my interest in Japanese culture is as naive as it gets. :)

A short while ago I decided that I will live in Japan for at least three months in the second half of the next year and travel through the country.... so I'm on this page and forum to gather as much knowledge about Japan as possible and hopefully learn a bit of Japanese on the way as well.

Cheers and a happy New Year! :)

Thanks for the welcome katsumoto and rihoko :)

No, my parents aren't with the MFA, as far as I know :) (What is the MFA?)

They are both from Afghanistan, which makes my cultural standing all the more confusing.^^

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I currently speak 3 languages fluently. German, English and Persian. I know bits and pieces of French, Spanish as well as Japanese (which I want to improve into fluency).

Have a nice year 2009 :)
