Technically, I suppose I'm not new. I joined this forum way back in September '04. (Dear lord, has it been that long?!) I've been inactive ever since November of that very year. Though, fairly, after a year and a half of inactivity, I'd think that a re-introduction is in order. Please forgive me if I've stepped on any toes or have broken any rules. :sorry:
I know the question is burning in your mind. Where have I been, right? It's a funny story, really.
December of 04 wasn't very kind to me electronic-wise. The laptop that was acting as a main computer for me at the time had come to an untimely end at the hand of a ruthless glass of milk. I was active in about 4 really good forums, an IRC chatroom, and a webcomic community at the time, I think.
Well, from that point I was without computer and internet for about 6 months. When I finally scraped enough to buy a new one, I had forgotten about a lot of the old forums I was frequenting. (I'm a bit absent minded, I know.)
Fast forward about a year and a really cool new computer later. I finally found JREF again while searching for an online English-Japanese dictionary. The memories of what a wonderful community flooded back to me and I decided to pop in and re-realize just how much I love this place.
So there's the story. I'm astounded that you've even read this far.
Here's a little about me for some who don't know me. I'm a 22 year old artist from the US who happens to have a romantic fixation with the Japanese culture, art, and language. I've been drawing for as long as I could hold a pencil, and my art shows a strong oriental enfluence. I like rainy days, emo music, computers, manga, and video games.
And...I think that's about it. I've spammed the intro forum long enough.
