Hello again !
We are 2 tough guys from Berlin in Europe.
We wanna go to Japan for 3 or 4 weeks.
We wanna make experimental-electronic-music in the town on the streets.
It´s to boring to play all the time in the same city (berlin) for us.
Now our questions:
We need a atractive place to present our german-freaky-rockshow!
Which part in Tokyo is interesting for this ?
Please no karaoke-bar or something. More street-style.
Second question: we need a free apartment or room or private for really good
conditions for the first time (1 week?).
Thank you for help !

You're going an awful long way to go to a new venue... perhaps you should try another town in Europe where people could at least understand what you say?

If you're considering a street show, you might want to ask whether you need any special permits? It'd be an awful shock if you set up shop only to get fined or hauled away by the police.

As for a lively area, perhaps one of the parks, or Ueno, Asakusa, Shibuya, Shinjuku or Harajuku. Roppongi has a lot of foreigners and might also be a good place to consider, but until you have some REAL plans (and at least one Japanese friend to show you around) I'd consider a country where German is a common language.

Experiemntal electronic music reminds me of how David Burns of Talking Heads recorded noises made in a factory.

There are night clubs all over Tokyo which might be interested in you project. If you want to start performing on the street of Harajuku where there are always street performers, that may draw some attentions to lead you to bigger production.

I was going to suggest harajuku too. best bet. but not sure if you require a license of some sort for street performances.

Hey, if you want to do a live show--- PM me.... look me up... I dont know how well you "ROCK"... but, I live in Chiba and am working on my new ep as of lately.... eh---- how will you rock .jp.... I dont know... but.... maybe we can get together and make noise.

cheers..... I'm pesimistic but...

"I'm pesimistic but..."

me too
i wanna know when and if these two tough guys end up doing the jailhouse rock in japan someday from trying to perform in yoyogi, but the fact that they/he/she still only posting in a thread that they created leads me to believe otherwise
o well

I'm also reneging my enthusiasm. My advice is to try neighboring countries first, then work your way towards Japan--- Also, if you're particularly noisy, I suggest Kyoto /Osaka area...

My vote is to try and get some contacts in the area you plan on staying and generate some interest in your group before you even consider buying plane tickets.
