Once I used to dislike the heavy accents I hear from people in Chicago or New York; but that's mostly because I couldn't talk back to them with my accent. As long as everyone gets equal time, it's cool with me. One accent that does really bother me is the Indian accent spoken by the Brahmins. My reasons are:
1) They tend to talk too fast
2) About 1/2 of the stress are off, often throwing me out of context
3) They never let you interrupt to ask a question when I'm lost with the context, effectively making a failed conversation.
4) Many of them are arrogant; the caste system is at work even when I'm not Indian.
That being said, I'm sure there are a lot of nice people in India who are not Brahmins.

I dont like the New Zealand accent when spoken by uneducated people.
My mother sent me to speech and drama lessons when I was but a wee lass, and I grew up in a high middle class rural area where we always had to focus on our speech, if in class, and we were to stand up and talk, we would be asked to sit down just for saying "um".
When I was studying I worked in a rather expensive restaurant, and im not going to bring race or anything into this conversation, but there was one waitress there with the worst manner and speech. Her accent was very "fresh" and she would greet the customers with a "Hey youse guys, what do you want for ya entrees" and "Do youse guys want anyfink else to drink" hmm yes, even if the customers were actually women.
Who wants to pay more than $60 to listen to that???
On a number of occasions I would try to subtly correct her, but it fell on deaf ears, then I would do it a bit more directly only to be sworn at. The manager who was of the same race, but obviously much nicer spoken told me that I was picking on her because of where she was from, and that it insulted her. I told her that I was sorry but would rather indirectly insult her than having this little troll insulting our patrons.
Anyway, the NZ accent is nasal, doesnt change dramatically throughout the country. Yes we get hasseled by the British and the Americans and Australians, but if we are going to pronounce fish as 'foosh' I think its fitting that we are laughed at.
Some american accents used to bother me, but not so much anymore. The southern drawl has grown on me, even the 'Ya'll' which grated against my spine at one time.
Love the Japanese and Korean accents and dialects.
Upper class british accents, I love them too.

I like most accents, but there is one strain of accents that i hate--
Hick. Hate it! Especially in the boonies in west virginia. I mostly hate it cuz i cannot understand a word they are saying.
When my uncle talks (Yep, lives in Boone County, WV) i just nod my head and pretend i understand him, even though i understand every word out of about 6. (He has a REALLY thick accent. Shame i cannot understand him, since he's a coal miner and i like to talk to him about what he does and the mines and stuff, because until a couple months ago i didn't even realize they were still operational....i'm not quite up on the times....
)

I hear ya, Kuro. My grandfather was somewhat like that. Rather I should say I was more like you; I could never last more than five minutes following his story. He would love to tell me stories, but I never quite understood him. I did like his passionate ways of telling the stories. If only I could understand !

I'm ashamed to say .... I loathe the East Midlands/East Anglian accents of my wife's sisters - and several of my own old friends back in the UK.
I hope to God that I don't sound like them.. but I bet I do ....!
(... never liked Glasgow or Jo'burg South African either ...!)

Livepool accent is also called Scouse. None of the accents annoys me, it's the tone of a voice what bothers me. I especially dislike the voices that was used for "young hype children/teenager promo"(English USA voices) in the second link.

I just find it annoying when I can't understand what the person is saying through their accent

I really don't have a problem with any accent really, but I hate ebonics. That crap just pisses me off. Oh and with all this talk about UK accents, I have to put in my two cents as well. My personal favorite(s) are Southern English like Micheal Caine, and Londoner. Londoner is fun because they sound like your typical stereotype of a British person (Hugh Laurie would be a classic example, and I'm sorry if I offended anybody who is English :sorry: ).
