possible bandwith/posting issues

When i post and hit "post" it doesn't do anything, but i refresh the same screen in another window and my post is there. What happened? I am not complaining, just think its weird.

I am afraid that I cannot answer you question in any technical terms, since (as most here know) I am a caveman in that respects; but the same has happend to me in the past on a laptop that my son had had. I just blamed it on the machine rather than the system.

On this present PC, using the very same server and IP address, I have no problems...although in long posts, sometimes I get kicked off, and then sending the post takes some time. Then, when it is posted and the window goes to that post, I can see the post I have just made, but my little 'on-line' circle has a blank X in it...although I had just suceeded in posting.

If one uses the 'preview' button from time to time during a long post, that would not happen, but then you would lose all your paragraphing...and that is a pain to fix.

Well, maybe someone will come along who can fill you in better on what might be the cause, and all. OH...I do want to thank you for posting you question here though. . . in that, I had gotten tired of seeing that 'All Moderators should...' with my user name under it. Thanks for that side help !! The last couple of days, there had a lot of double post threads probably because of double clicking thinking nothing happened the first time.

I know that Admin1 has been working on the server the last couple of days, and is working on some updates... So that might be the problem.

Let us know, if you or anyone else are still facing some problems in the upcoming week.

Jref probably also have a surprise for all members in one of those upcoming weeks, but that's all that I can say right now...

I'll just see if the preview button works. But, the same thing happens when i use the post quick reply box.

I sure have noticed a difference-Running super slow!

The past week or so, I've thought something is wrong with my PC or my Road Runner high speed connection. I too noticed several double posts. The user manager section for admin used to take about 10 seconds to check an IP or member info; now I can go finish a game of solitare and return to see the check still running. I guess knowing admin had been working on the server is a good explanation. Sure hope we don't have to go through another major server update, LOL. Can't wait to see the new changes coming!

Well, Admin1 had a few rough nights because of the server but everything should be fine right now.

Things are much better today. The last two days have been molasses-in-January slow.

it's wicked quick now

Another possible issue. Has anyone had a problem where they post and it doesn't show up even after a refresh? I make a post, hit refresh in firefox and then its not there...... Then i post another post and.... the orginal post shows up but not the other one...............................................

Anyone else have this problem?
