Popular Asian males

Oh, and what about Ken Watanabe? He was named one of People's 50 Most Beautiful People this year.

He was? Oh . . . just one . . . out of 50 Brad Pitts and Mel Gibsons.

Last year there were 2: Hideki Matsui of the Yankees and Jet Lee

The year before that was when there was 1. The editors at People chose cellist Yo Yo Ma as one of 50 Sexiest men in the world.

Who knew that in the 1970s TV series "Kung Fu" starring David Carradine, the child-age Kwai Chang Caine was played by Radames Pera, a native of Colombia?

Yeah, I remember Yo Yo Ma being named. I still can't understand that? :?

A female friend tried to console me by saying that sexiness in a man isn't just about his looks but also about what he does. That being a great cellist can be sexy.

Yeah right!

some girls likes the guys that plays music instruments :-)

Oh, well, I'm definitely one of those girls who thinks playing an instrument can be extremely sexy. I think the bass is the sexist instrument there is, by the way. 😊

I'm not turned off by the instrument he plays...I just don't think he's...well, nevermind. I just don't find him attractive, but I'm sure plenty of others do.

Maybe there are people who find William Hung sexy, who knows?

Is the end of civilization near?

Yeah. William Hung. He really does it for me. Someone bring me some ice water...I'm burning up just thinking about him... :atsui:

Maybe it's just his name.

Have you seen the movie "Kentucky Fried Movie"?

There were three Chinese guys in that movie, named Long Wang, Hung Lo, and Enormous ________.

Chow Yun Fat, anyone?

I happen to like Chow Yun Fat, In all honesty I believe he doesn't have be in fighting movie to do well. He was in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon by the way. 😄

He was also in the re-make of "The King and I" called "Anna and the King". I've been told I kind of look like him, but then again . . . we all . . . .

But he is not a household name in N. America. His name doesn't help.

You CHOW too much and YOUNG ones will turn FAT. Sounds like a stand-up comedian.

Should've given himself a Western name for the U.S. market, e.g., George Chow, I'mstill Young, or Iain't Fat.

He was so good looking in Anna and the King. He was no Yul Brynner, though.

Yul was the man!

He was great in "The Magnificent Seven." But it was sad to see him in "Westworld" :(

Yagira Yuuja of "Nobody Knows" who won best actor in the Canes Film Festival. He is only 14 years old, first Japanese and the youngest in Canes' history who won.

Along with Yao Ming, the most popular Oriental athlete in the U.S.:

Ichiro Suzuki

Robert Ito with Jack Klugman on "Quincy"

B.D. Wong as Dr. Huang on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit"

31 years after his death, Bruce Lee is still a legend.

Arg!!!!!!!!!!
I think my English is probably getting too good.
I want to be a popular Asian male. Now I am going for 10 beers and then I am going for reincarnation.

*screams* B.D. Wong as Dr. Huang on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit"

I RABU HIM!!!! I want to have his babies. No doubt, I watch Law and Order: SVU just to see him...and the rest of the show....:D

Shingo Suetsugu - One of the fastest humans in the World

He's not popular outside of Japan, but he's a national hero in Japan. He had the fastest time in the 200 meter dash in the world in 2003. Became the first Oriental athlete to win a medal (gold, silver or bronze) in the World Track & Field Championships in a sprint race.

Japan is also hoping for a medal from hammer thrower Koji Murofushi in the Athens Olympics.
