Please read the line of text and the seals on this scroll by 小石 with sages playing go.
Any information on the painter 小石 (Shouseki?) ?

Date and maybe a word/note regarding the origin/inspiration for the work? A few too many question marks for me to nail down.

歳在乙卯之秋日？？速東？屋之？ Autumn day in 1855/1915/1975 (zodiac year of wood/rabbit)

I don't have more info than what can be seen.
I found a painter 巨勢小石 Shōseki Kose (1843-1919). That would make it 1915.
For example this bird. The signature does look similar, the seal is different:

Another example:

巨勢小石・小品 / 穂ノ国書店 / 古本、中古本、古書籍の通販は「日本の古本屋」

But to me they seem to be in a different style.

Revising this slightly. I figured out one of the question marks, but also decided one of my character readings was wrong.

？？遼東本屋之？

The two underlined characters could mean Liangdon in China.
Not a great deal of confidence in this.
The characters preceding these are the date.
