Please Help about Monbukagakusho selection!!

I have received from the Engineering Department of an University that I am nominated for prestigious Monbukagakusho Scholarship (that Department recommended for me and send the name to the Monbukagakusho) and they wrote that the final acceptance would be achieved at mid June. It has been called internal Monbukagakusho scholarship. I am worried whether I would be finally selected or not. Anybody has any idea about it? Is there any possibility to reject me? Thanks for advance and nice forum!!

not sure if its the same but would be wise to check with your local country coordinator (japanese embassy)... I believe you still have to sit for the prescreening and interview... but at least you are guaranteed to receive acceptance from the uni.. you're already in the advantage ^^ good luck!

We are in a similar situation. I already asked someone about this and he said it is about 99.9% sure of getting the scholarship. The person I asked studies in the same university where I was accepted so I believe him 99.9% LOL

My university also said to wait until June for official confirmation. So I'll wait until June. I suggest that we get a little bit more patient and just hope (and pray) we get the scholarship.

BTW, where is your university?
