the monkey is always watching

I just got back from Japan and I'm gradually putting up the better of my pictures... anyone thinking of a trip to Japan, stop by and look around; if you see anything you want to hear more about, just ask me in a comment...

great pictures, i love the panorama from the crossing the street, just the page is reallly long, would it be an idea to split it up to a couple of pages?

aaaaaaaaaah to walk out with the dog, and to see that view,, AMAZING... i envy yah!!!

please let me look further now,, LOL

thanks... stop by from time to time because I have quite a few more pictures. Japan is a pretty photogenic place...

(and since a tall white guy stands out so stridently in any case, I didn't mind carrying my camera all over the place b/c there was no way I was going to look like anything other than a foreigner tourist.)

Your photos are amazing. I especially liked the ones in aquarium. That crab is really that huge?
Thanks so much for sharing.

I look forward to seeing more!

yeah, the crab is really that huge. but dont' be afraid. he just has big arms so he can hug everyone all at once. lotta love, that crab.

either that or the arms are for killing and eating pretty damn big fish, I'm not sure which.

by the way, I just added a bunch of shots from Okinawa . and I can't believe no one from this board has successfully answered the robot quiz... it's been three days now and no one has recognized it... should be -easy- for you folks...

Monkey i really fall in love with your site, with the pictures,, is it okay if i put your link on my website about japan? www.freewebs.com/japanichiban

i can not put them on my new website www.kobecityinfo.com cause it has not much do with that.. but yeah ...

GREAT GREAT GREAT PICTURES :D:D

hey you have some great photos there and a cool blog
ill definitely be asking you a few questions
thanks for sharing 👍

its a pity youre not still in japan

dutch baka: you got it! excellent. (not such a baka after all, apparently...) you're the first. and it would be great if you want to link to me.

deadhippo: yeah, you're right it's a pity I'm not still in Japan! I'm back to work and it's boring...

more harajuku pictures up

hey; I put up another batch of shots from Harajuku, for anyone who liked the first set.

matsumoto

I put up some shots of the castle and the town... it's spectacular out there.

Also included some shots from the Takayama Matsuri.

the Lion photo, is that reall.. btw great photo's of the Pride...

aaaah i really love your photo's :D:D:D:D:D

the lions

yeah, they're real... the Oakland zoo has a huge lion enclosure, and they just hang out on the hillside and roar.

btw, have a great trip to Japan, DB...

Wow, those photos are really amazing! I love the spiders! How beautiful! Amazing colouring, are they easy enough to find in your area?

Great night-time photos. I really enjoyed each and single one of them.
Thank you!

Kara_nari: no, those spiders are all in Costa Rica... fortunately the spiders in my part of the world are little and colorless compared to that. I live near San Francisco, in California.

Motoman: thanks. I have to say, the one I just posted a day or two ago (the money looking through the fiberglass tube) is my favorite from the whole trip.

f0rk0: glad you liked them. the nighttime photos were fun to take. I have some more coming of the street fair after the parade (and this is after I've been back in the U.S. for a few months now... can you tell I took kind of a lot of pictures while I was over there?).

I just watched it for the first time; took about 5-10 seconds to load, and I'm supposed to have slow connection.

Is it raining in China ? Sometimes the seeping drainwater affects the insulation of the underground cables... used to happen all the time when it rained. :( Now the phone company did something, and it's always slow, not just when it's raining. X_X

And sometimes, the satelites just get a bit bitchie.. hehe, what can you do about machines working up and pouting like a baby ?

Monkey0,

Beautiful pics, I'd have to say !!! You are like a professional !!
I love all the pics, but they are so alive... monkeys, fog, lions, deck, kids, and the happy streets of S.F.: they are all great !! 👍

4321go -- were you able to get in eventually? you could try going in through my domain name: www.giantrabbit.com

lexico -- thanks. I'm not a pro, actually, I work in tech for a living, but I'm glad you like the shots. if you came late to the blog and you liked the pride pics, you should look back at my harajuku shots:
the monkey is always watching: Harajuku station, in Tokyo's Shibuya neighborhood
and
the monkey is always watching: tokyo - harajuku station revisited
I think they are some of my best. But that's not because of me, that's because the kids there have the most awesome costumes ever.
