"Perhaps surely"?

Hello everyone!

I was listening to some Japanese songs, and while I was trying to translate the song for myself as much as I could, I found something interesting.

I hope it is visible, if not, look here: たぶんきっと
たぶん is for perhaps, and きっと is for surely. Combining them together, isn't that a little bit weird?

Could someone give me an explanation why those two words can be used together, please? Does it have a special meaning in this way?

Perhaps there is a pause between the words that we can't see in text. If so, it would be plausible as it would indicate a growing hope/determination.

At 3:50, you'll find that specific たぶんきっと。

You do have a point with there! But she doesn't say it clearly what she hopes for, but she said, if she could stop the time, she would stop where that last smile was given. And the next word is 忘れられない. Some translations say: "I probably won't forget it". But still, doesn't that sound weird?

忘れられない is either "can't forget", "won't forget", or "won't be forgotten" depending on the context. (Haven't looked at the video).

Tried to watch the video, but to quote Chick McGee, "If that's playing here, what's playing in Hell?"

Maybe somebody else will listen to that Auto-Tune audioturd for you, but I'll have to ask to be excused. Time to go clean my ears out with the angelic 渡辺はま子, a singer who could truly sing.

I thought たぶんきっと is the song title and the link to the song is embedded there, judging from your word "look here".

I am sorry for the misunderstandings, I will try to comment now as clear as possible.

Toritobe, you are probably right. I have discussed the sentence you have given with my friends, and we were wondering a lot. In the end, we thought it could be a similar phrase which the Hungarian language has as well. For example:

[Translated to English]
- Perhaps I can dance like her.
- Perhaps surely you can dance like her (Giving her confidence to trust in herself)

Maybe this たぶんきっと is also such a confidence giving phrase, or how simply Mike said, "it would be plausible as it would indicate a growing hope".
Well, in my point of view, I have never seen this phrase anywhere else yet, so it must be very rare, and with my beginner Japanese skills, I shouldn't use it!

No, no. No problem. That's my misunderstanding.

たぶんきっと is a relatively commonly used phrase. I searched in a Japanese lyrics site, and got the result 47 songs that contain たぶんきっと/多分きっと in total in the site(たぶんきっと - 25, 多分きっと - 22). You can think that the probability of たぶんきっと is somewhere between たぶん and きっと (more probable than たぶん but less probable than きっと).

Ah, one more thing. 初音ミク is indeed a female voice character but the lyrics of the song is wrtten in the viewpoint of a guy.

And that's why I love this language, always full with ideas and very creative thoughts!

I just wonder why do they sometimes sing in the other viewpoint?... And how did you know it? The song doesn't say any "僕" or anything like that. I know there are some words which can only be said by males, but is there even a composition/special word order for it?
Uggghh, questions, questions, so many questions... I hope I'm not asking too much.
