Does anyone know any bars in Osaka/Kansai where I can watch Australian rugby-league (i.e. NRL). I've gone without it for a month now and there's a big game this weekend that I can't miss (Brisbane vs St George Illawarra).

PLEASE HELP!! 🙂

There's a section of the city near Umeda station where a lot of foreigners hang out, and there is a bar called Kangaroo Jack's or Captain Kangaroo's where I saw a lot of white people hanging around. I didn't go inside but it's got a decent happy hour from what I read, and since it's a bar it likely shows sports. not sure about rugby but it looked australian. the site should be at www.roo-bar.net or something like that, but the site was down last i checked.

To get to it, go to higashi-umeda station and get out at the exit facing the hankyuu department store, with the big public sculpture in the middle of the street. Facing the sculpture, turn left and walk down to the next major intersection, or until you can see the giant neon man in the barbershop quartet jacket dancing on the side of a building (it'll be on your right, down another major street, about half a block away but very recognizable). Cross the street and head towards the neon guy; once you pass him on your left you have a couple blocks before you come across the bar, it'll be on your left right after crossing one of those alley-sized offshoot streets.

My only advice is to avoid "que rico," the mexican restaurant on the second floor, complete waste of money.
