Hi everyone 
I was wondering if anyone knows/has any experience about how distance learning is perceived in Japan/especially towards eventually gaining or not the Monbusho scholarship.
I know there are many degrees mills out there, but I also found that degrees taken while working or in a shorter time, for example, from an accredited institution like the Open University are instead well regarded, sometimes even more than traditional ones because they show independence/speed/focus/whatever.
So what's the truth? If I were to obtain a BSc from there transferring from my current University, could I completely say farewell to my hopes of getting the Monbukagakusho scholarship upon graduation or not? That's basically my question
