Onsen questions...

My wife and I moved to Himeji, Japan about a month ago and are looking forward to experiencing the world famous hot springs. We would like to go to an onsen with mixed bathing or private bathing so that we can experience it together. Does anyone have any suggestions about where we could go in/near Himeji? Thanks in advance!
