hi there,
I am looking for a mixed/ unisex onsen with a nice view near Tokyo. (Maybe an about an hour away). Can anyone help?

Do you use JR pass? And is it ok to spend one hour more, I mean 2 hours for one way in total, from Tokyo?

Kurone Iwaburo public bath in Hokkawa Hot Spring, Izu
http://www.hokkawa-onsen.com/kurone/index.html
Business hour
6:30-9:30
16:00-23:00
Friday to Sunday
13:00-23:00

Woman only time (WHAT A SEXIST!!!)
19:00-21:00

Fee: 600JPY (free if you stay at accommodations in Hokkawa)

If possible, avoid weekends.

Use hyperdia for your itinerary.

It may be impossible to bathe in the morning for your daytrip without staying there, but it is possible for you to enjoy bathing in the evening, eat dinner, and go back to Tokyo.

Izukyu train is not JR, so you have to pay 970 yen more from Ito to Hokkawa with your JR pass.

Or a hotel tell you how to go there in Chinese.

In the hot spring which is near to Tokyo,
There is ""kazoku buro"(family bath)" in a mixed bathing onsen.
A method to reserve a small bathroom in an onsen institution.
It takes a bath by a family or a couple.

mixed/unisex onsen with view near Tokyo

Thanks so much for your help.
For Izuhokkawa, was wondering which traditional style ryokan is the best? And if i need to book and call them will they understand english?
Also the site for the hyperdia is quite confusing?? So i have to rent a car and drive to the SHINKANSEN KODAMA 535 station first? and then change trains at which station? Do i have to book the train from this website in advanced?

So i guess Izohokkawa is the closest one with the requirements that i'm looking for? I tried to search for ones in hokane but couldnt find any...

I thought you wanted to make an excursion/daytrip from Tokyo. I mean you have already booked your hotel in Tokyo, so you requested the one hour option. And I am still not sure if you can stay somewhere in a hot spring resort outside Tokyo or not.

1. JR pass
When you just plan to stay in Tokyo areas without buying a JR pass, Izu may be out of your options and you should find a hotel in Hakone. And Hakone free pass is a good ticket for someone without JR pass.

2. Mixed/unisex onsen
When I took my Chinese friend to a sushi restaurant, quite a decent one, in Tokyo, it took a bit time before I came to think the vegetable sushi she wanted to eat was "California Roll".
There might be 3 types of mixed bathing which I can think of.
1. Mixed bathing where you have to share bath with strangers like the Hokkawa
2. Private outdoor bath in the room or you reserve ones in the inn/hotel
When you just want to bathe with your boyfriend or husband, this is a good option. But the room with private outdoor bath is a bit pricy from 15000 to 20000 JPY or more/person.

3. A sort of spa resorts where you have to wear swimming suits (most Japanese people may not take this as mixed bathing, but it is fun)

Enoshima is close to Kamakura, a tourst area, and within the excursion area from Tokyo, so it is an idea to bathe there if the one hour request is a must.
