Noun～なだけ(に)

Hello,

Is Noun～なだけ(に) considered grammatically correct? In other words, is it correct to link nouns and だけ using な?

お子様なだけに、たちが悪いわね
I encountered the above sentence. As far as I understand it, お子様 is a noun so I'd expect it to be お子様だけに.

そういう事情なだけに～はさらに意義深い (なだけにの英訳)
I also found this example. Here 事情, which I know for sure is a noun, is also used with な...

It seems like Noun～なだけ(に) is used in practice but the grammar references I can find say that only な-Adjectives use な with だけ.

As explained in the dictionary, it's the same な as the one used in "noun なもので", "noun なので" or "noun なのに".
e.g.
特に私は（出身が）長野県なものですから、
私、本業が弁護士なものですから、
理由が理由なだけに
短い時間で出した結論なだけに

こんな暑さなので、動物も参っている。
こんなに懸命な働きなのに、誰からも褒められない。
(Both 暑さ and 働き are a noun, not a na-adjective.)

That makes sense. I just thought it was weird that I couldn't find it mentioned.

I assume that Noun～だけ(に) is the same as Noun～なだけ(に). Correct?

Also, I'm curious about はず since that paragraph in the dictionary also mentions it. Is Noun～なはず possible?

Correct. な is optional for this meaning of "noun （な）だけに".

Yes, of course. As you can see in the following examples, this な is interchangeable with の.
e.g.
それならわたしがここを去るのは、あなたにとっても朗報なはずよ。
夏休みっていうんだから休みなはずだろう。
目からウロコなはず。
誰の命だって貴重なものなはずよ。
地方財政の自立改革というのが本来の中身なはずだ。
経済の専門家なはずである。


Incidentally, as for "noun なもので", な can't be omitted, and can't be replaced with の, either.
e.g.
×特に私は（出身が）長野県ものですから、
×私、本業が弁護士ものですから、
×特に私は（出身が）長野県のものですから、
×私、本業が弁護士のものですから、
