Contributing to all the North Korea news... There is a North Korean spy boat on display in Yokohama. It was suck by the Japanese Coast Gaurd years ago, and you can visit it as a tourist attraction.

I covered it, and the background of the incident on my blog here.

On a bit of irony, I learned a few hours ago that North Korea has possession of an American spy ship. It is a tourist attraction as well. Interesting to know that the reverse is true as well (except that Japan has possession of the ship, not America). Two major differences being though that the American ship wasn't sunk, and the american sailors were caputred by NK and taken as prisoners.

Wow, that's interesting. I remember touring the mothballed USS Alabama back when I was visiting Mobile a few years back. Despite my preconceptions, it turned out to be quite an eye-opener for someone who wasn't interested in naval affairs at the time. I recently went to the Dazaifu which is only 15 minutes from where I live. Their Kyushu Historical Museum has a scaled replica and an actual mast from a Mongolian warship that had tried to invade some odd centuries ago. Good stuff.
