'nihon ryugaku shiken' Japan and the World

Does anyone know the names of, or if infact there are any English language books for THE EXAMINATION FOR JAPANESE UNIVERSITY ADMISSION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS. ﾂ（窶愿ｺ窶怒窶板ｯﾅ?wﾅｽﾅｽﾅ陳ｱﾂ）

In particular I'm looking for books on the 'Japan and the World' 窶伉債坂?｡窶ｰﾃ遺?禿?

Sorry, I don't know. However, I suggest you call the university you plan to apply for and ask them if they have any sources of the type of book you would like.

Anyway, a good idea would be to buy the JLPT things and learn everything on those. Then you should be able to know enough to get in. (You will need level 2 though ....)

日本留学試験 is a crazy test, i took it a couple of months a go, but i took the science version. A couple of my friends took the Japan and the world thought. There is no way to study for it, because its maid to simply check you knowledge in everything. The math (both the easy and hard one) is crazy algebra and trigonometry, the physics and chemistry is mostly about choosing the right formula that fits the best best with the problem descried, and the japan and the world is the weirdest test of them all. A friend of mine who took the test described the 2 first questions to me. the first one was witch of the following statements have now been said by the UN security caonsil? and then there were 6 complete different statements on completely different subjects. and the second one was witch country's economy did the most impact on the Japanese's cotton economy in the 1600s? and then the alternatives was America France and 4 other country's.
There isn't really any way to study for these tests except for going to Japanese high school and then remember everything (but then your suppose to use the center test (センター試験 instead)), or if you simply are very interested in world economy and news like my friend is, he managed to get 190 on the japan and the world witch is really impressive.
The best advice i can give you is start reading an encyclopedia... Sorry if i discouraged you but its better that you know ahead of time so u can be prepared for it, besides most university's don't think that test is sufficient so they usually go on the 日本留学試験 combined with their own more humane test and an interview.

Took one too myself 2 years ago.. and it was nasty XD I didn't even know what CO2 was in Japanese when I took that test too. So the chemistry test was hell.
