New Member, New Learner

Hi Everyone,

I have started to learn Japanese since the lockdown of COVID-19.
I have mastered hiragana and katakana.
I am currently learning more lexicons and grammar structure.
I would like to have buddies to improve together and chat with me by typing in Japanese word.
Is there anyone looking for a buddy to text with Japanese words too?

Good work! Welcome to the fun journey of learning Japanese! I knew a guy who was Chinese Malay and spoke 6 other languages by the time we started studying Japanese together, and since he already knew hanzi he had no problem with kanji. You're already using kanji, so I'm guessing you might also already be familiar with the chinese characters? If that's so, your biggest hurdle is just going to be getting used to Japanese grammar.

I see a couple small issues with particles (don't worry, this takes a little practice!)

私の名前は ジェスです。- の marks the possesive "my" name, and です is the polite way to finish an "is" statement.
私のともだちになってください。- に is the "becoming" or "moving towards" particle, and useful for things like "please become/turn into my friend" or "going to tokyo" or "I gave a present to billy"
