I'm going to exchange to Japan for my junior year. Now, I wanna know what to expect: Will the kids hate me? Love me? Ignore me? Anything you can offer...

It depends on what school you get placed at. Since your still in high school they could either love you or hate you. They also might ignore you at first, but like I said it just depends.

It all depends on how you present yourself, no one hates or loves someone for no reason.

They will show you lots of attention but dont think this is friendship. Its merely curiosity. Depends where you go of course. Here in Kyushu im merely a circus show.

Except people who are either fetishising that person's ethnicity, or predudiced against it. ;)

Yeah but I took them out of the picture because I dont know why you would want to be friends with those types of people anyway.

And if japan is filled with those kinds of people im in trouble, I cant stand racism, discrimination ect.

I know a lot of people who would probably want to be friends with the former, and thats to "get a Japanese girlfriend"...

Yeah, I don't know--- I get a lot of looks in my neighborhood, I don't know what they all mean... I hate walking around thinking people are looking at me and secretly clutching their child closer, but thats the feeling I get--- I dress fairly nice, though I don't obviously walk around in a suit and a tie.

I'm reminded of the words, This is not your country..., I don't know how much right I have to criticise it, be here, or defend it...
