If this is in the incorrect area, please don't bash me on the head with a broom. I couldn't find anywhere else to post it.

I want to type Japanese so it can be displayed on the web, I've seen members countless times here post in Japanese instead of using regular ASCII romanji characters.

Is there a special program (Like text editor) or do I need to set the settings in my computer to display Japanese text when I type. Or is it, a special keyboard I need ?

I am having a similar problem: for now I have to open a separate text editor and do cut & paste, but it's cumbersome. Also, my UNICODE fonts get garbled after pasting and preview.

Have you figured this out yet, Carth? I you did, do pass it on!

I have the same question. I have no idea how to write Japanese Kana (let alone Kanji) on the forum. How does one do this?

Can anyone explain?

Have you guys checked pages like this?

There are links down the page to cover most of your questions, I think.

If you have older systems, I think you can download Japanese language fonts from Microsoft or Apple, depending on your system. The basic approach to typing Japanese is very much the same as written here.

Checking to see if I can type in 窶愿コ窶怒ナ津ェツ!
