I thought it meant "I did not drink at all and I was with you"
The conversation before this was "I was drinking" and then the dialogue in question was a response.

If the sentence follows "I was drinking", I'm afraid that it does not make much sense, as it sounds incoherent.
There's no past tense used in this:
そうしないと俺はお前と全然飲まないぞ
そうしないと if you don't do so/otherwise
俺は I
お前と with you
全然飲まないぞ won't drink at all
The speaker seems to have said to the person to do something before this sentence and then said "if not, I won't drink with you at all".
So it sounds odd to me as a reply to "I was drinking". Or does it make sense in the context?
