What's new

Nazi Party

lol, it had the opposite effect. she and i hugged and were talking later about how we were so happy they didnt have racial laws anymore, or else we'd never have met?

As for the Nazis in Japan, I hope they are kept in check by the people. I will admit this, when I lived in teh Midwest, we still have Nazi rallies, in the area. But I hope this level of activity, occurs anywhere in the world.

Do They still have Racial laws in the world today, or have they died out.

I find that many people are referring to the "right wing" as some kind of evil Nazi organization. I consider myself to be in the middle of the road, so my views are both left winged and right winged. I however have NO Nazi views at all. So be a little careful some of you in the way you use "right wing".

As far as Nazis in Japan go, are these white supremacists in Japan trying to convince everyone on Japan they are inferior? LOL, I doubt they will achieve that.

Or are these Asian Supremacist Nazis that think Oriental Asian (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, ect.)? Some people call this though it is considered racists somewhat yellow supremacy. What type of Nazis are they?

well, It seems that the terrorist regimes, like to hone in on finding ways to secure fundsusing a pseudonym business or charit yname to finance their activities.

there are still race laws out there, they're just not as blatant in most countries nowadays cause it makes them look bad.

Not at all. I am conservative-rightist but at the same time I am not a racist or a Nazi fascist. I believe that moderation is the key.

Moderation, Is a good thing, when Governments are dealing with extremists. But If Nazi's took power, anywhere it could start WW3. That could be devastating to everyone.

But Moderation has its drawbacks, it can be a little to late. It has the potential to backfire, and like every type of dealing, It has its risks.

Nazi vs fascism?
While nazis were fascist, fascism does not describe just nazism.
Perhaps some of the dialogue confuses the two?
Not that non-nazi fascism is worth anything.
the scape-goating of different people and xenophobia
that goes along with it are definately part of fascism.
But stating only the supremacist delusions most fascists
have leaves the discussion only half done.
My view: there is no good fascism.
Maybe we can start a discussion on "what is fascism".

Sukotto, I would like to expand on that and compare fascism with militarism. All militarist nations have fascist tendancies, but are all fascist nations militarist?

"The Fascist conception of life," he wrote, "stresses the importance of the State and accepts the individual only in so far as his interests coincide with the State. It is opposed to classical liberalism [which] denied the State in the name of the individual; Fascism reasserts the rights of the State as expressing the real essence of the individual." (In 1932 Mussolini wrote, with the help of Giovanni Gentile, an entry for the Italian Encyclopedia on the definition of fascism. You can read the whole entry at (in English)
Internet History Sourcebooks
It's soooo whacked.

The fascism vs militarism is an important debate as well,
although I do see both as dangerous no matter who is steering the ship.

However I was thinking more along the lines of the economic dimension.

* "Fascism should more appropriately be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power." - Benito Mussolini

Apparently--
Fortune magazine ran a cover story on Mussolini in 1934, praising his fascism for its ability to break worker unions, disempower workers and transfer huge sums of money to those who controlled the money (corporations) rather than those who earned it. Corporations loved fascism at this time.

I won't be responding to any posts for
over a week. I will be attempting to participate in TV Turn-off week starting tomorow.
peace yo.

Corporatism... most historians tend to call Austria's experiment with fascism from 1934 to the German invasion of 1938 as corparatism rather than fascism..

still Sunday here,

Also fascism is not merely a WW2 phenomena. Note the following fascists
and their respective countries. We always seem to forget Franco.

Hitler (Germany), Mussolini (Italy), Franco (Spain), Suharto (Indonesia), and Pinochet (Chile)

Everybody does forget Franco, don't they.

Many people believe Chiang Kai Shek was a fascist. Some believe that Lon Nol (Cambodia) was a fascist.

Fascism 101

http://www.counterpunch.org/leupp1003.html

Absolute State Power, Militarism and Waging Wars of Agression pretty much sums up Fascism.

There is a huge difference between mass deaths caused by the rightwing and leftwing. Fascists set out deliberately to kill, there is an intent to exterminate a whole people - Jews, Communists, Untermenschen, Chancorro [Japanese spelling?], etc. Leftwing dictators like Mao instigated lunatic social programmes that failed horribly - Great Leap Forward, Culture Revolution - that resulted in the deaths of millions, but they were not created for the purpose of killing.

I would think that giving direct orders to kill en masse is more evil than involuntarily causing death en masse due to system failure.

The intent to kill is important, which is why we differentiate between involuntary manslaughter, manslaughter and premeditated murder in a court of law.

Mao did realize the possibility of disasterous consequences of his Great Leap Forward, Cultural Revolution etc.

Here is a part of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party:

Horrendous Massacre

Before the CCP was in power, Mao Zedong wrote, ツ"We definitely do not apply a policy of benevolence to the reactionaries and towards the reactionary activities of the reactionary classes [7].ツ" In other words, even before the CCP took over Beijing, it had already made up its mind to act tyrannically under the euphemism of the ツ"People's Democratic Dictatorship.ツ" The following are a few examples.

Suppression of the Reactionaries and Land Reform

In March 1950, the CCP announced ツ"Orders to Strictly Suppress Reactionary Elements,ツ" which is historically known as the movement of ツ"suppression of the reactionaries.ツ"

Unlike all the emperors who granted amnesty to the entire country after they were crowned, the CCP started killing the minute it gained power. Mao Zedong said in a document, ツ"There are still many places where people are intimidated and dare not kill the reactionaries openly in a large scale [8].ツ" In February 1951, the central CCP said that except for Zhejiang province and southern Anhui province, ツ"other areas which are not killing enough, especially in the large and mid-sized cities, should continue to arrest and kill a large number and should not stop too soon.ツ" Mao even recommended that ツ"in rural areas, to kill the reactionaries, there should be over 1/1000 of the total population killedツ…in the cities, it should be less than 1/1000. [9]ツ" The population of China at that time was approximately 600 million; this ツ"royal orderツ" from Mao would have caused at least 600,000 deaths. Nobody knows where this ratio of 1/1000 came from. Perhaps on a whim, Mao decided these 600,000 lives should be enough to lay the foundation for creating fear among the people, and thus ordered it to happen.

Whether those killed deserved to die was not the CCP's concern. ツ"The People's Republic of China Regulations for Punishing the Reactionaries,ツ" announced in 1951 even said that those who ツ"spread rumorsツ" can be ツ"immediately executed.ツ"

While the suppression of reactionaries was being hotly implemented, land reform was also taking place on a large scale. In fact, the CCP had already started land reform within its occupied areas in the late 1920s. On the surface, land reform appeared to advocate an ideal similar to that of the Heavenly Kingdom of Taiping [10], namely, all would have land to farm, but it was really just an excuse to kill. Tao Zhu, who ranked 4th in the CCP afterwards, had a slogan for land reform: ツ"Every village bleeds, every household fights,ツ" indicating that in every village the landowners must die.

Land reform could have been achieved without killing. It could have been done in the same way as the Taiwanese government implemented its land reform by purchasing the property from the landowners. However, as the CCP originated in a group of thugs and lumpen proletariat, it only knew how to rob. Fearing it might suffer revenge after robbing, the CCP naturally needed to kill the victims, stamping out the source of trouble.

The most common way to kill during the land reform was known as the ツ"struggle meeting.ツ" The CCP fabricated crimes and charged the landowners or rich farmers. The public was asked how they should be punished. Some CCP members or activists were already planted in the crowd to shout ツ"We should kill them!ツ" and the landowners and rich peasants were then executed on the spot. At that time, whoever owned land in the villages was classified as a ツ"bully.ツ" Those who often took advantage of the peasants were called ツ"mean bullies;ツ" those who often helped with repairing public facilities and donated money to schools and for natural disaster relief were called ツ"kind bullies;ツ" and those who did nothing were called ツ"still or silent bullies.ツ" A classification like this was meaningless, because all the ツ"bulliesツ" ended up being executed right away regardless of what ツ"bullyツ" category they belonged to.

By the end of 1952, the CCP-published number of the executed ツ"reactionary elementsツ" was about 2.4 million. Actually, the total death toll of former KMT government officials below the county level and landowners was at least 5 million.

The suppression of the reactionaries and land reform had three direct results. First, former local officials who had been selected through clan-based autonomy were eliminated. Through suppressing the reactionaries and land reform, the CCP killed all the management personnel in the previous system and realized complete control of rural areas by installing a Party branch in each village. Second, a huge amount of wealth was obtained by stealing and robbing during the land reform and suppression of reactionaries. Third, civilians were terrorized by the brutal suppression against the landowners and rich farmers.

Ah, this must be an objective, unbiased, factually accurate piece of well-substantiated research about China coming from a site that carries "Headlines" and writings such as:

Chinese Communist Regime Spreads Evil to the World, Says China Expert
Chinese Communist Regime Is The Present Threat To Freedom
Assure The Lighthouse Of Taiwan Will Stand
South Korean ツ"Nationalismツ": A Dangerous One-Way Street-Anger at Japan is understandable; lack thereof at Communist China is not

Oh, and a nice blurb from the advertiser of "Takeout Terrorists : You are For Us or Against Us"

Surely, this can't be PROPAGANDA!

I actually find this site highly amusing. It features authors such as this:

D.J. McGuire is President and Co-Founder of the China e-Lobby, and the author of Dragon in the Dark: How and Why Communist China Helps Our Enemies in the War on Terror

I wonder what Wang is really doing in such company? These are extremist Americans aching for a showdown with China, well, at least they can use the excuse that China does have nuclear weapons.

It also hosts a sort of "Communism Anonymous", with people "confessing" stuff like

""I felt shame because I had once regarded Communism as correct and as a hope for humanity...."

I thought surely this must be a sort of lampoon like "The Onion", but they are dead serious!

As of May 7 2005: 1,317,323 people have resigned from the CCP. This number keeps growing higher with around 20,000 people withdrawing each day. http://english.epochtimes.com/211,95,,1.html

The 14 Characteristics of Fascism

Long cut & pastes are kinda annoying,
but the original zine is ok with it.

by Lawrence Britt
Spring 2003
Free Inquiry magazine

Political scientist Dr. Lawrence Britt recently wrote an article about fascism ("Fascism Anyone?," Free Inquiry, Spring 2003, page 20). Studying the fascist regimes of Hitler (Germany), Mussolini (Italy), Franco (Spain), Suharto (Indonesia), and Pinochet (Chile), Dr. Britt found they all had 14 elements in common. He calls these the identifying characteristics of fascism. The excerpt is in accordance with the magazine's policy.

The 14 characteristics are:

Powerful and Continuing Nationalism
Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottoes, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.

Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights
Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.

Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause
The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc.

Supremacy of the Military
Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.

Rampant Sexism
The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Opposition to abortion is high, as is homophobia and anti-gay legislation and national policy.

Controlled Mass Media
Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.

Obsession with National Security
Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.

Religion and Government are Intertwined
Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government's policies or actions.

Corporate Power is Protected
The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.

Labor Power is Suppressed
Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed .

Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts
Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts is openly attacked, and governments often refuse to fund the arts.

Obsession with Crime and Punishment
Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.

Rampant Cronyism and Corruption
Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders.

Fraudulent Elections
Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.
