While making this thread I will assume that charkra and... well.. super natural things doesn't exist, for it is my belife.
I was watching Naruto (anime, if you don't know if you're most likely unable to answer my questions). And I was thinking about how much of this was based on real belife, I mean... I know that there is a belife that the body generates some kind of life power known as "chakra", and that this can somehow be distributed through the body, but I don't know how much people belived they could do with it.
A thing I reacted on in Naruto as a thing that might have been belived in was when they were supposed to seal a cursed seal, and Kakashi told Sasuke that the seal was based on will power. If a person belives he is cursed, then he might also act like he's cursed until he get's a seal that's supposedly based on the power of his will (meaning it makes him think he is cured, but since it's just an imaginary disease, he will be cured).
So, to my question... how much of that wich happens in anime shows (like Naruto) is based on real belives?
